Fees

Tuition:

45 minute class		$39.00/month
1 hr class		$45.00/month
1 hr & 15 minute class		$55.00/month
1 hr & 30 minute class		$65.00/month

Note: a one-time fee of $15 per individual or $20 per family is due upon registration.

Dance Technics is pleased to introduce Autopay! Tuition and costume are automatically deducted from either a checking account or credit card. Ask us how you can receive lower tuition fees with Autopay!

3 classes		10% discount off total tuition
4 classes		15% discount off total tuition
5 classes		20% discount off total tuition
6+ classes		25% discount off total tuition

All students who want to join Dance Troupe must be enrolled in at least one other class.

Semi-private and private lessons are available for children, adults, and wedding couples by appointment. The cost of private lessons are $60/hour.

Drop Off/Pick Up Policy
We are a drop off/pick up studio, which means no parents are allowed to stay in the waiting area during classes. We do have a parents' week when parent can come in and watch their child's class.

Snow Days/Cancellations
Generally the studio follows the school system in calling a snow day. The studio answering machine will be updated between noon and 2:00 pm with class cancellation information.

School Holidays/Vacations
Typically, Dance Technics follows the Massachusetts school holidays. We will have a calendar of dates we are closed.

Parking
If you're taking a class, please park behind the building. The spaces in front are for short term parking.

Gift Shop
We have a gift shop! We stock a variety of dance gear—shoes, tights, leotards & Dance related gift items. The shop is open during class hours, or by appointment. If you need to register for classes, you can get a copy of the registration form (a 7K PDF file).

Dress Code

Irish Step:
A black leotard with black pants, shorts or tights. Students may also wear a fitted, black t-shirt or tank top.

Ballet:
Any color leotard with pink or white tights. Traditional pink ballet shoes are required. Students are allowed to wear a ballet skirt or leg warmers.

Tap/Jazz:
Students need to have both black jazz shoes and black tap shoes. A black leotard and either black jazz pants, black shorts, or black tights. Students can wear a black dance shirt or tank top over their leotard.

Hip Hop:
A black leotard OR black "dance" t-shirt or tank top. Black jazz pants are required. In the warmer weather, students can wear black shorts. All hip hop students are required to wear the dress code.

Creative Dance: Any colored leotard an tights. Children may wear a leotard/skirt combo outfit. Black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes are needed for this class.

The Syllabus

Jazz
Experience the many techniques involved in the art of jazz. A beginner or a professional will enjoy dancing to various styles of music.

Tap
Learn dance through musicality and sound. Develop timing and rhythm by learning a variety of steps that evolve into patterns and combinations.

Swing
Escape back to the Big Band Era, or to the nearest swing club. This partner dance is always energizing yet smooth, and guaranteed to make an impression.

Latin
Dive into the Latin craze and learn hot, sizzling moves from the dance styles of merengue, salsa, cha cha, rhumba, and tango.

Irish Step
The grace of the slip jig and the percussive rhythms of the heavy reel leave the Irish Step offering any dancer the best of both worlds. This form can be easily compared to tap and ballet, however, its cultural roots stand alone.
